The Hawkins men have a gift for carving and as a set of well-used tools are passed down, so is the vision of completing a Nativity set that is also passed from generation to generation. Hardships and sometimes character flaws hinder each generation from fulfilling that vision, but love for family and God wins as each generation picks up the charge handed down to them.

I received a complimentary copy of this novella collection with no expectation of a favorable review. I will read this collection again, especially as the Christmas season approaches.
