Olivia fled town five years ago, a few days before she was to marry Sam Morgan, later sending him a note he burned unopened. He hadn’t seen her since and had no desire to.
Now Oliva is back in town pursuing her dream of owning a restaurant and a home goods boutique. Her dream clashes with his dream of having a store where he can sell his woodwork when she rents the space he wanted for himself in a building he owns. Because she applied under her business’ name, Gus, Sam’s grandpa, rented the space to her. Sam is now her landlord, and he wants that space back. She doesn’t budge. She has a signed lease. They work out a compromise to work together to see whose products sell the best.
Well written, with a cast of compelling secondary characters who give depth to this charming second chance romance where faith, friendship, and forgiveness all play a part in a happily-ever-after.
I was given a copy of The Cowboy Bargain by the author with no expectation of a positive review.
